Chief Medical Physicist Responsibilities: Directs, coordinates and participates in all aspects of the operations and planning of the physics services. Selects, trains and evaluates the competency of Physicists Dosimetrists and students. Initiates and maintains quality assurance, quality control and safety programs in accordance with the standards as determined by the hospital and other regulatory agencies. Represents the Radiation Oncology service on committees, task forces, or other collaborative efforts. Responsible and accountable for developing, implementing, reviewing, revising and monitoring patient care policies and procedures, standards and performance improvement activities.
